Enhance collaboration between industry and heat pump stakeholders

Solutions developed

The project focuses on the pulp and paper, chemical and food & drink industries, following a three-phase approach:
1. Data gathering to determine the framework of heat and cold supply within the process industries;
2. Development and validation of solutions for selected industrial sectors before the project ends;
3. Replication of these solutions and dissemination of results to reach additional industrial sectors during and after the project’s duration.

Main results

HP4INDUSTRY will accelerate industrial heat pump adoption, improve energy efficiency, and support sustainable industrial growth through innovation, skills development, and policy improvements.

Expected impacts:

- 15 industrial heat pumps installed during the project, increasing to 215 installations/year within five years.
- 500 companies trained through capacity-building activities, with 1,000 additional companies benefiting from project results after completion.
- 100 companies implementing new business models during the project, growing to 500 afterwards.
- 100 companies adopting standardised technical solutions, rising to 500 post-project.
- 14 million m³/year of natural gas saved during the project, increasing to 200 million m³/year within five years.
- 5 policy acts improved during the project, supporting the longer-term implementation of 27 acts.
