Webinar – Zero Emission Buildings: Smart Integration of Renewables, Energy Efficiency and Electrification

18 June 2025 - 18 June 2025 Online

Achieving zero-emission buildings requires greater electrification, improved energy efficiency, and the integration of renewable energy sources. However, when individual actions are not coordinated with local infrastructure development, consumers can face significantly higher energy costs. This issue is particularly pressing for remote and off-grid communities, which are more vulnerable to energy insecurity.

As FIT4Micro is focused on developing a highly efficient microCHCP system powered by sustainable biofuels, it is hosting a webinar to discuss how this technology can improve building energy performance and support the transition to low-carbon solutions.
The project aims to enhance the energy efficiency of existing buildings by reducing consumption and replacing fossil fuels with biofuels.

The webinar will explore the link between energy efficiency and affordability, addressing issues such as energy poverty, sustainable heating and cooling, and youth involvement in the energy transition. Key technologies like heat pumps and energy labelling will also be discussed.

Attendees will gain insights into the policy, technological, and social changes needed to make zero-emission buildings a practical reality.
