Stakeholder workshop – Renewable heating and cooling pathways

20 October 2022 - 20 October 2022 Online
The stakeholder workshop on the study Renewable Heating and Cooling Pathways, Measures and Milestones for the implementation of the recast Renewable Energy Directive and full decarbonisation by 2050 (ENER/C1/2019-482), carried out for the European Commission by a team of experts from Oeko-Institut, TU Wien, Fraunhofer ISI, Halmstad University and E-THINK, will be held online on 20 October 2022 14:00-16:30.

The study provides input to the development of the policy framework for the heating sector to ensure its full decarbonization by 2050. It offers guidance for shaping the pathways, measures and milestones for the transition of the sector. This includes the development of potentials for renewable heating, an assessment of key transition strategies, policies and measures, as well as the modelling of pathways for the transition of heating in buildings, district heating and industry.
