Solar Heat Europe Annual Event 2026

18 November 2026 - 18 November 2026 Brussels

EU Competitiveness and Energy Security: Delivering with Solar Heat Today and Beyond 2030

Amid the 100th Executive Committee meeting of the IEA Solar Technologies and Sustainable Heating and Cooling Programme (IEA STSHC), Solar Heat Europe is organising a high-level event, kindly hosted by MEP Maniatis in the European Parliament on 18 November 2026.

The panel will bring together European policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and energy experts to discuss how solar heating and cooling can strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, enhance energy security, and support the EU’s climate and industrial objectives. As the European Union prepares its energy and industrial framework beyond 2030, the discussion will explore the role of solar thermal technologies across buildings, industry, district heating and innovative hybrid energy systems.

Participants will examine how greater deployment of solar heat can contribute to reducing fossil fuel dependence, provide access to affordable energy, supporting electrification through smart technology coupling, supporting European innovation and manufacturing, and attracting investment into clean energy projects.

Register now for an engaging discussion on how solar thermal can help deliver a more resilient, competitive and sustainable European energy system.
