Renewable Heating and Cooling in Czechia 2030: From Coal-Based Heat to Modern Renewable District Heating

This RHC-ETIP national roundtable will bring together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, and energy stakeholders to discuss the future of renewable heating and cooling in Czechia.

The webinar will examine the implementation of Czechia’s updated energy and climate objectives, the modernisation and decarbonisation of district heating systems, and the growing role of renewable and low-carbon heating solutions, including biomass, heat pumps, geothermal energy, waste heat utilisation, and other innovative technologies.

It will also explore the key opportunities, challenges, and investment needs facing the Czech heating sector on the pathway towards 2030 and climate neutrality. By placing national developments within a broader European policy and market context, the event will encourage knowledge exchange and dialogue with participants from across Europe.
