RHC-ETIP at the final event of the REDI4HEAT project

The final high-level event of the REDI4HEAT project - Accelerating Renewable Heating and Cooling for a Decarbonised Europe, organised by EHPA and CRES, and with the presence of EU Commission official Matthieu Ballu, took place on 23 September 2025 in Brussels.
Representatives of the main RHC associations in Brussels, EGEC, EHPA, EHP, and SHE, took part in the event, as consortium partners of the REDI4HEAT project, and disseminated the RHC-ETIP platform.
The event showcased the results of the REDI4HEAT project over the last years, particularly the publicly available Knowledge sharing Centre, the Heat transition toolbox, and the NECP assessment guidelines. Moreover, the speakers presented insights into capacity-building activities conducted in the project’s target Member States and the replication in non-participating countries.
The two panel discussions, moderated by EGEC and EHPA, delved into the implementation of the RED, EED and EPBD at the local level, and the future of the decarbonisation of H&C in Europe, from the perspective of business, local authorities and consumers. The speakers highlighted the vast possibilities of different RHC technologies- including geothermal, solar thermal, heat pumps, and bioenergy- to work together in hybrid H&C solutions, and the importance of finding a balance between electrification and direct heat sources, according to the different buildings’ needs and climatic conditions.
The legacy of the REDI4HEAT project will continue to drive RHC-ETIP’s push for the full decarbonization of the Heating and Cooling sector in Europe.
