Projects on renewable heating and cooling
The projects section aims at tracking the ongoing projects in the area of renewable heating and cooling with focus on those which are funded at EU level. Available since 2019, this database currently includes more than 100 projects and it was officially presented during RHC ETIP’s annual conference 2019, in Helsinki.
Each project displays a logo, the project acronym, a short summary and information about patners and the corresponding funding programme. You can look for a specific project by using the filters listed on the side of this page!
The RHC-ETIP projects’ database is growing and by 2021 we will feature a robust collection of national and international projects on renewable heating and cooling. In line with this objective the possibility to submit projects via an online form is possible since September 2020.
FREsnel for Solar Heat with New Receiver and Geometry
FRESH NRG will target efficiency of 60% at 250°C with a Linear Fresnel Collector (LFC) optimized for industrial use. Our integrated approach will design, implement and test disruptive innovations in 4 key parts of the value chain. Highly innovative sol-gel coatings will target robustness, durability and performance (transmittance >96%, absorbtivity >95%, emissivity250°C <7%). To increase the annual yield, a LFC design with radically new geometry will target differentiation of the width of the primary mirrors and concentration factor >90 to limit heat losses. Ultra light mirror panels will target safety, durability and reflectivity >93%. Modular “plug-in” components (e.g. clip-on secondary mirrors) will simplify transport and installation.
Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables
SHIP2FAIR (Solar Heat for Industrial Process towards Food and Agro Industries commitment in Renewables) aims to foster the integration of solar heat in industrial processes of the agro–food industry. With this purpose, SHIP2FAIR will develop and demonstrate a set of tools and methods for the development of industrial solar heat projects during their whole life-cycle. Demonstration and validation will take place at four real industrial sites, representative of the agro-food sector: spirits distillation (Italy), fresh duck products manufacturing (France), sugar boiling (Portugal) and wine fermentation and stabilization (Spain). SHIP2FAIR is a project developed by 15 partners from all over Europe and with the support of the European Commission.
