Furthermore, the technology’s adaptability allows easy integration into systems that use renewable energy, while offering enhanced durability and reduced energy costs.
Main results
The TechUPGRADE project aims to develop a novel thermochemical technology, the Hydration Heat Transformer, for efficient, safe, and sustainable waste heat recovery and upgrading industrial processes to higher temperatures (150-250°C). This solution outperforms competing technologies by integrating with renewables, consuming minimal electricity, offering high efficiencies, and being cost-effective with long lifespan. It can utilize various heat sources and sink temperatures, with the option for heat storage.
