The integral energy renovation of Chantrea district includes three components:- Creation of a New Thermal Grid supplied by biomass to supply the entire district comprising a new generation room and distribution grid to public and private buildings.- Renovation of existing District Heating with very old deficient installations via complementary works for implantation of control and regulation systems, and other renewable resources.- Integral energy renovation of district buildings, including thermal cladding, acting on homes built between the 1950 and 1980, presenting deficient construction systemsOne of the project pivots will be citizen participation and training, in particular the owners of the selected homes.Main results
- Total proposed energy investment cost: €10.972.372;- Energy consumption reduction in both public and private building by adding efficiency measures;
- Complete buildings and heating system refurbishment;
- Change in use of local renewables resources instead of current fossil resources.
